Just like the doctor fish (tinca), the building that houses the restaurant that carries its name has very strong ties to the lake. In fact, it was built where, in times past, the docks from which the boats that navigated over the lake stood.
The roots of La Pigra Tinca (or The Lazy Tench) are the roots of Castiglione del Lago itself.
For more than half a century, this restaurant was the cradle of traditional cuisine for the town’s people. A place to savour fine food, a place in which to smile.
After two years of hard work, the Pigra Tinca is once again open, fully embracing the concept of wellbeing.
